Fire drills are mandatory in the following occupancies:
1) In day-care centres, facilities regulated by or under the Developmental Services Act and Group ‘B’ (Institutional) occupancies, fire drills shall be held at least monthly.
2) In schools attended by children, total evacuation fire drills shall be held 3 times in each of the fall and spring school terms.
3) In buildings within the scope of Subsection 3.2.6. (high buildings over 18m) of the Building Code, fire drills shall be held every 3 months.
